WHO IS MY GOOD SHEPHERD?

Text: Rm 10:17 "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Devotion :  The Psalmist was a shepherd and he knew where to find quality pasture and still water for his sheep.  The sheep were in safe hands as long as the shepherd provided for them.  David, the Psalmist, saw the LORD as his shepherd from the personal relationship he had with God.  As long as the LORD was David's shepherd he experienced supernatural provision, protection, deliverance and salvation.  In the N T Jesus Christ is the good shepherd  (Jn 10:11).  If you acknowledge Him as your Lord and Savior and have an intimate relationship with Him, you will experience His salvation, deliverance, provision, and protection.  You will lack nothing if Jesus Christ is your shepherd because He is good and His mercies endure forever.  Dear beloved brethren, in what way do you see Jesus Christ as your good shepherd?  Share your comments here, keep safe,  rece...

WHAT DO JESUS SAID WE SHOULD DO TO RECEIEVE ANSWERS TO PRAYERS ?

2Tim 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." Devotion :  If you feel like giving up on prayer because you don't seem to be getting answers to your prayers, the opening scripture is exhorting you to continue, for your miracle is at hand.  Prayer is communion with our heavenly Father; it is a time to receive from Him.  If it seems we are not receiving it means we are not applying the principle of prayer.  Jesus said when we pray we should believe that we have received it and we shall have it; it means at the point of prayer we should receive the answer in our heart and we shall see it physically (Mark 11:24).  Also, if you are delighted to pray and enjoy fellowship with your heavenly Father, you will never cease to pray.  So be glad to pray.  Dear beloved brethren, do you feel like giving up on prayer?  Make this month your month of prayer and enjoy praying.  ...

HOW TO HAVE A GOOD THOUGHT TOWARDS OTHERS?

Text: Jer 29:11 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." Devotion :  The children of God can know the intention of God towards them: the intention is good, one of peace to give them an expected end.  The question is what is your expectation as a child of God?  Is your expectation in sync with the scriptures?  If your expectation is in line with God's Word then God will surely fulfill it.  Since our God is a great God, let us have great expectations which are supported by the scriptures; and let us continue to declare these scriptures and see how God brings them to pass.  Finally, we should have thoughts of peace toward one another as children of God.  Dear beloved brethren, how big are your expectations?  Share your comments here, keep safe, receive your glorious blessings today in Jesus name. Amen.  Rev Dr JOC Okezue.

WHAT DID GOD SAY TO HIS CHILDREN?

Life May Not Be Rosy After All, You Will Go Through Trying Time,  Which May Look Like Water And Firer,  Be Conscious of His Presence,  He Has Given Us His word,  He Will Be With us And Control The Situation.  Text: Isa 43:2 "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee." Devotion :  It is very heartwarming and comforting to read a scripture like this, where God has given His pledge to His children to be with them in all circumstances. Water and fire are good servants but bad masters.  In the scripture above they symbolize bad masters.  God is making it clear to His children that life may not be rosy after all; His children will go through trying times which may look like water and fire.  However, He has given us His Word that He will be with us and control the situation:...

(Titus 2: 14). *TODAY'S TEXT*  TITUS 2:13-14  *MESSAGE*                     Titus 2:11-12 tells the beautiful story of salvation from sin based on God's grace. It shows the lifestyle of those who have been saved, that they are to deny all ungodly deeds and live righteously in the world, looking for the blessed hope, which is the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to rapture believers. We want to talk about how this should affect the lifestyle of the redeemed. Hope is de...

STORY ABOUT CHRIST AND SWINE

DAILY MANNA Sunday, January 23rd Text: Matthew 8:23-34 Please Open Your Bible ⤵️ 23 And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him. 24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. 25 And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. 26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. 27 But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him! 28 And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way. 29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time? 30 And there was a good way off from them an...

A SECOND LOOK AT LEADERSHIP

Text: John 13:1-15 Please Open Your Bible ⤵️ 1 Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end. 2 And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him; 3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God; 4 He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. 5 After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. 6 Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? 7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. 8 Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash ...

GOD'S PROMISES ARE SURE

Text: Exodus 6:1-13 Please Open Your Bible ⤵️ 1 Then the LORD said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land. 2 And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD: 3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them. 4 And I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers. 5 And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant. 6 Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments: 7 And I will take you to me for a people, and...

FROM SINKING TO SINGING

πŸ“œTEXT:PSALM 13:1-6πŸ“œ πŸ”‘πŸ“– ``` KEY VERSE: ``` _ * "I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me" * _ _ * (PSALM 13:6). * _ The Duke of Wellington, the British military leader who defeated Napoleon at Waterloo, was not an easy man to serve. He was not one to shower his subordinates with compliments. Yet even Wellington realised that his methods left something to be desired. In his old age, a young lady asked him what he would do differently if he had his life to live all over again. Wellington thought for a moment and then replied, "I'd give more praise". The psalmist was in deep sorrow for a number of reasons. At a point, he believed he was forsaken by God and thought God was not concerned about him anymore. He equally complained about his enemies being exalted over him. After a while, he was finally able to see the brightness of tomorrow through the clouds of today. His heart rejoiced and he soon began to sing and give praise to...

WHY SHOULD I NOT GIVE UP ON GOD?

Text: Exodus 5:15-23 Please Open Your Bible ⤵️ 15 Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried unto Pharaoh, saying, Wherefore dealest thou thus with thy servants? 16 There is no straw given unto thy servants, and they say to us, Make brick: and, behold, thy servants are beaten; but the fault is in thine own people. 17 But he said, Ye are idle, ye are idle: therefore ye say, Let us go and do sacrifice to the LORD. 18 Go therefore now, and work; for there shall no straw be given you, yet shall ye deliver the tale of bricks. 19 And the officers of the children of Israel did see that they were in evil case, after it was said, Ye shall not minish ought from your bricks of your daily task. 20 And they met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way, as they came forth from Pharaoh: 21 And they said unto them, The LORD look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in thei...

DWELLING IN GOD'S LOVE

Text: 1Jn 4:16 "And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him." Devotion :  It is one thing to study the scriptures and another to have fellowship or experience the scriptures. In other words, it is one thing to read about the Lord Jesus Christ and another thing to have fellowship or experience him.  Apostle John believed the love of God because he had experienced this true love, therefore, he could boldly testify about it.  He got to know about the nature of God; that is, God is love.  Now he testifies that anyone who dwells or walks in love dwells in God and God in him.  This has therefore become one of the standards to measure who truly is a Christian.  Any person who claims to be a Christian and walks in love is a true Christian.  On the other hand anyone who claims to be a Christian and does not walk in love is not a Christian but a charlatan.  Dear...

WHAT EVERY ONE WHO LOVES HIS PURPOSE SHOULD DO

 1. Be Prompt To      Obedient,  2. Submit To      His Authority  3. All things     Work     Together For     Good.  Text: Rm 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Devotion :  God's purpose or the purpose of God is the unique design of God for your life; in other words, the reason for God bringing you to the planet Earth.  His purpose varies from person to person, so whatever you are going through is designed to work together for your good as a child of God.  God loves every child of His but it is not every child of God who loves God; the one who loves God is prompt to obey God and submits to His authority.  These are the ones for whom all things work together for good.  The children of God who are disobedient and do not submit to authority will not have all things working together for goo...
